Texas Releases 2024–25 A–F Ratings: See How Tarrant Schools Scored

 

TEA’s new A–F ratings restore clear trend lines after two years of delays, and the picture is mixed. Some Tarrant campuses moved up—FWISD held a C overall and cut F-rated schools from 31 to 11—but the ratings also underscore a core challenge: too many students are still not reading on grade level. With TEA site visits to FWISD expected in September, families can use TXschools.gov to check their campus, then ask teachers this fall: Is my child on grade level in reading, and what support (small-group instruction, tutoring, at-home practice) is in place now?

Northwest ISD Puts 3¢ Tax Measure on Nov. 4 Ballot to Reduce Class Sizes

 

 

At the Bradley Community Center, families released lime green balloons into the sky—a symbol of hope for a future where every child in Fort Worth can read at grade level. The event came with a sobering reminder: 54% of local students are still not meeting grade-level reading benchmarks. Parents and advocates say the progress proves change is possible when a community comes together, but the work is far from done. With persistence, collaboration, and a focus on proven strategies, Fort Worth can keep moving toward a future where all children have the literacy skills they need to succeed.
