Only 31% of Fort Worth ISD students can read on grade level. Across the City of Fort Worth, that number is just 43%. And in Tarrant County, fewer than half of the students are meeting reading benchmarks.

This crisis demanded action, and over the last year, Fort Worth ISD has responded. With bold leadership and a focus on literacy, the district has taken urgent steps to turn things around.
